The occupation of a registered nurse is actually quite dangerous. Nurses across the country are physically attacked and abused on a daily basis while rendering care to their patients. With firsthand knowledge and experience in a level 1 trauma hospital, we have developed unique methods of bedside safety measures should the caregiver be grabbed or assaulted. We even have methods developed specifically for the more frail, geriatric patients.

According to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, “While under 20% of all workplace injuries happen to healthcare workers, healthcare workers suffer 50% of all assaults.”1

According to The Scientific American, “Health-care workers are hit, kicked, scratched, bitten, spat on, threatened and harassed by patients with surprising regularity. In a 2014 survey, almost 80% of nurses reported of being attacked on the job within the past year. Health-care workers experience the most nonfatal workplace violence compared to other professions by a wide margin, with attacks on them accounting for almost 70% of all non-fatal workplace assaults causing days away from work in the U.S., according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.”2

Our goal is to assist you and your personnel with safety measures that will protect both, your employees AND your patients. Most self-defense programs react to violence with violence. We pride ourselves in the creation of non-violent options. We have created unique methods of defense and restraints for nursing and security staff who provide care and assistance at the bedside location of patients.
